Learn more about Kathakali. Meet Kathakali artists and see different costumes used for the dance form and also watch how they dress up for the performance.
You can also watchthe make up being done on artists just before the show. You can get a general idea about Kathakali’s interesting make-up code and how each color namely Pacha, Kathi, Kari, Thaadi, and Minukku relates to the character played.
There willbe a small briefing about the Mudras or hand gestures through which the story is told. The session extends for about three hours and ends with a short Kathakali performance. Time of the show may depend on the availability of artists. Special shows can be arranged on request.
Cost excludes:
- Entrance and guide’s fee as and where applicable
- Air/Train fare
- All incidental expenses - i.e. drinks, laundry, tips & gratuity etc.
- Transportation to and from the venue will cost extra

All the tourists willbe providedtransportation in air-conditioned and non air-conditioned car/coach as mentioned in the itinerary. The transportation facility provided will only run as per the itinerary and any deviation resulting in extra kilometers will be charged on actual basis. We may have to alter the routing of the package, which usually is because of the non-availability of hotels. We will however do your best to adhere to the same format / hotels in the itinerary, and the timings.

You can consider the price mentioned here as a guideline as the actual costs largely depends upon the hotels / resorts we use, however the type of hotels we use are standard and luxury as per our choice.
